My favorite tip was the one about how just being in the bar will teach your child about safer sex... so true!

I don't have kids but am passed the age of hanging out at bars and getting drunk and crazy. Yes, it'll happen occasionally, but usually I just want to go out and have fun with my husband. I actually get annoyed when people are being stupid around me and wish they would all grow up! When did I become such an old lady?

First of all, that's a GREAT picture!! You're sure you don't miss that??

We went out to dinner with another couple who have a two year old a couple weeks ago. We went to Buffalo Wild Wing and the kid got mac'n'cheese. Of course he wanted to eat the wings like everyone else, so mommy let him(she goes on the theory that he can learn by experience). Needless to say, he wasn't a fan of the spicy wings and was kind of crying and gagging himself to get the taste out of his mouth. I laughed(of course) and none of the other patrons seemed to care. He got over it pretty quickly and then became enthralled with dumping salt all over the place. It was a good dinner. I was entertained.

Awwww!!!! I think that it's great that you guys took Viv out with you. I agree- getting older and doing the family thing is all that I want. I don't need to get back to the "good 'ol days" when my social life consisted of going to bars and drinking. I mean, I still like to do that occasionally, but not as a regular occurence! Jay and I took the boys out to (family friendly) Boston Pizza recently and were amazed at how well it went. We're entering a whole new era- instead of getting a sitter and going out the two of us, we can bring the kids with!!!!!
